Flint Knapping, and other primitive Stone Working This class will present the students with an opportunity to become more acquainted with the arts of working stone and producing usable tools. Percussion knapping, indirect percussion, pressure flaking, pecking and grinding will all be covered. Students need have no previous experience with working stone to attend. Students should come prepared with Closed Toe Shoes, long pants and shirt, and plenty of drinking water. Recommended items to bring: Camera, notebook, leather gloves, safety glasses or goggles and a seating pad/cushion.
